Exposed Concrete Home
Construction of a single-family home in exposed concrete with minimalist architecture in Northern Portugal. Contemporary three-level volume, large glazed surfaces and a sculptural presence that makes the project stand out in the landscape.
Challenge
Deliver an architectural language of exposed concrete and glass, where pure geometric volume meets the rural surroundings, ensuring energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
Solution
Reinforced concrete structure with external thermal insulation and thermally broken aluminium frames with double glazing. Mezzanine cantilevered over the living room with interior staircase in natural wood. Retaining walls and natural stone front wall integrate the building into the landscape.
